  1. Ok, the Crease Clay Brush needs just some manual tweaking to work fine. When used with a bigger radius (5 and up) it mess up the mesh quite a bit, mainly if you make very slow strokes. It may works better on dense meshes, I've tested it on a 1mio polys sphere. Anyway, fast strokes a pretty nice. Andrew may I ask you to put the Inflate Clay Brush on your to do list. It doesn't have to be on top, maybe somewhere in between In my video I showed you the example (post #3), the Inflate Clay doesn't grow anymore. Digman pointed out that stamping is still possible with higher depth values, but I liked the way it grows in earlier versions. Just press down your pen and let it grow. When you are using the brush without falloff, you don't get a sphere shape anymore, it's more like an egg or elliptic sphere.
  2. Confirmed, smooth as silk edit: works best with this alpha (all to the right) ps: but crease clay behaves a bit weird. I make a video soon.
  3. No bumps in Paintroom here (the little jittering in the video is only my hand ). With Interpolate on totally smooth. http://youtu.be/COjCVpDrJMw Thanks for the hint digman!
  4. Hey Andrew, I've recorded a few strokes to show the brush behaviour. GL is awesome! DX is still bumpy, especially on slow strokes, interpolate doesn't help in this case. Small brush sizes produce more bumps than big sizes (at least it feels like). Drawing with constant depth and radius produces no bumps. Pen pressure in Prefs is set to 1023, brush sensitivity is 1. Wacom Prefs pressure compatibility is checked. In the 2nd part of the video watch the inflate clay brush in the new version, it's not working like it was before, please fix it.
  5. GL beats the DX version by far. I have the same experience like the others above. I use a Intuos 4 with the latest drivers, v6.3.1 w3. Something about the pressure, I get good results with the pressure compatibility checked (in the tablet properties) and a value of 1023 in 3DC's Preferences. With pressure compatibility unchecked and a value of 32000 in 3DC's Prefs the response of the tablet is even better. One more thing no one mentioned before, the InflateClay Brush is broken You have to move your mouse or pen, otherwise the brush wont inflate. In versions before you just had to press left mouse button or press your pen down and the brush worked. I tired everything (airbrush, use falloff, checked and unchecked), nada. Please fix it cause I like this brush. Specs: i950, GTX460 v295.73, W7 SP1 x64, 3DC 3.7.11 Cuda, 16GB Ram, Intuos4 v6.3.1 w3
  6. well i'm using the latest build and it works like a charm. GTX460 here.
  7. why does the mesh of the standard sphere look so ugly? when i look at fastharys video, he's got some nice mesh on his sphere. is it only on my side?
  8. i have that problem, too. it started with v3.5.18 when the mip-mapping thing was introduced. on my side it's not the brush size, but the alpha size. if i use an alpha bigger than 1000x1000 it starts to get really laggy, 5-6 fps. the bigger the alpha, the larger the lag and low fps. it happens on both versions, gl & dx. i'm on w7 64bit, i950, gtx 460. the problem is easy to repoduce cause it happens all the time.
  9. hm strange, i restarted and its gone i was working a few hours, some sculpting, manual retopo and then i wanted to paint. tried to add a new material and got that bug. i guess it happened somewhere along the way. still strange.
  10. hi there, when you want to create a new material in painting room the depth channel is missing. (v3.5.18A Cuda DX 64) greetings Daniel
  11. Hi, can we have a coordinate system for the curve tool. Like in the primitives tool where you can specify the exact position in space. It would be cool to set the points of a curve in a nummeric way. At the moment it's more like guessing if your curve is straight. I hope you understand what i mean. With a coordinate system we could align the curve exactly to an object if needed. Cheers Daniel
  12. I have the same problem here and I have almost the same specs than you: Vista Home Premium x64, Q6600, 8GRAM, 8800GT 512MB. I don't have an idea what the prob is. I've tried lots of possibilities, i.e. run as admin and not, UAC on or off, with IE8 or Firefox, from my explorer, from desktop, nothing.
  13. I've installed the update, now my OGL version don't work anymore (Bug report sent). DX runs fine, but drag&drop don't work at all.
