Yes sorry the light bake does work... however the positioning of that light in the Render room atm is made difficult from the lack of feedback of its position (if that makes sense) both the realtime render and open gl lighting. I think I must of been trying to position the light and lost its actual location when trying to use the bake tool.

Would have to agree regarding layers, very odd behaviour. If its trying to mimic Photoshop then great, but please replicate the functionality of PS layering. Clip Mask functionality before sort of made sense (referencing an intended layer to act as a mask), now adding the clip mask function in the layer stack with the arrow pointing down confuses, seemingly to mask the layer below?? Will be a great addition and it's almost there in terms of UI - just needs to make sense with regards to how we all use Photoshop, as clearly that's the intention. Hope that helps.

Hi - could we have the ability to use Stable Diffusion within 3DC to generate Textures like DreamTextures Addon in Blender? Preferably using the 2.1 Depth Model.

Bug 2022.24? - Modelling Room : Points to Polys Tool: Use 'On Plane ' to drop 4 points in the Y axis. The RMB doesn't create the polygon ( no poly preview and no way to create the poly ) Turn off the 'On Plane' check box and the RMB still cannot create a polygon with those same points. With the 'On Plane' unchecked, drop 4 new points and its works as expected. Anyone else confirm? I tried it a second time and it worked fine - strange.

Gave myself a challenge to create this small concept sketch I made only using the modelling room and its tools. Once completed I UV'd inside the Modelling Room and then sent it over to the Paint Room for texturing. I didn't keep 100% to the concept, projecting the original concept back onto the model, then made it grimy, dirty etc. The concept itself was an idea of reverse designing Slave-one from Empire Strikes Back. Trying to think of how early versions of that ship may have looked in its development. So all the basic pieces are there, just swapped around and changed proportions, colours etc. I am in the process of making a Modelling Room tutorial series for beginners, this was just a test., it is rendered in 3D-Coat (x2 light setup). slave_0.mp4 -

I do actually think that all menu items should be dockable, it would be handy to have them in a customised UI space... obvioulsy the keyboard shortcuts are preferred, faster alternative. -

Hi... one more. When choosing Tools with selections such as 3D Primitives Etc Could they be placed in the Tools Options Panels like the mock up below? You would select Primitive from the Tool Options and have its corresponding parameters directly below. -

Would it be possible to dock the Curves Editor Menu? We can drag it away from the top menu which is good, but it has alot of useful options. When using curves we could dock it next to the Curves Tree. At the moment it keeps disappearing and then you have to go back to the top menu to drag it back into the workspace. -

The Curves/Strokes Tool works well... delete the Strokes Tool from the Model Room both are not needed - less tool clutter. But even the Curves/Strokes Tool is a retop tool rather than model tool? -

Does the Strokes Tool work in the Model Room? You need a sculpt mesh in the sculpt room to use it, but even then the strokes do no create valid quad polys. Might be a bug, but I would remove it from the Model Room if its not generating the correct geometry.... its only going to confuse and frustrate beginners. strokes.mp4 -

Inset command does not work with Ngon in Modelling Room. It works ok with Quad and Triangle. I think model tools should be free to work with Ngons, Quad and Tri's. Its important to get quick shapes regardless of poly vert count. What you think? inset.mp4 -
@Carlosan - yes you are right. Any points dropped while the 'on plane' option is checked seemed to get ignored. By turning it off and dropping the points it works as expected. I would have thought though that this is a bug? The on plane feature is really useful? The on plane UI element ( the red square ) should IMO change colour based on the axis you are selecting from the dialogue. Then you get that visual feedback of which plane you are dropping the points. The points ( while the on plane option is checked ) should be recognised as valid points to generate a polygon. You should not have to turn off 'on plane' for this to work... these are additional clicks... btw... I'm trying to look at this from a beginner point of view. Anyway - thanks for pointing that out

point to poly.mp4 No Polys draw + Crashes :- 2021.88 In the Modelling Room, make sure Ortho view is on. 1. Choose Points to Polys. 2. Select >On Plane and choose an axis X,Y,Z from the on plane dialogue and a corresponding view (Left, Top, Front) 3. Place 4 Points and try to create a poly from the points. It does not want to make the polygon. I tried different views and axis and only managed to draw 1 polygon. I had a total of 4 crashes before I managed to record this video. Anyone else confirm?

Not sure if this is a bug or just user error. However I cannot get the 'Export to' menu item to appear in the File menu. I have sent meshes both to and from Blender using the App link which works fine. The option to 'open in original app' appears which is ok, but not the Export to item. I deleted the Options.xml to see if that works ( suggested in another thread ) but IMO this menu item should be consistent. Having it appear randomly is frustrating. Is there a specific path for the Options.xml file in 2021.83. I have deleted this maybe its the wrong one?

Curves Question: The snapping options don't seem to snap how you would expect. For example I can select a point and choose to snap to another point and in the viewport it seems to snap ok. However if you rotate the viewport then it has not snapped. In fact its quite a distance away. Maybe something I'm doing wrong? I would expect it to snap to the point or to the curve. curve_snaps.mp4 -

Hi Alex - Is it possible to get Surface Strip Tool to work with curves? It seems to work only with draw mode ( freehand drawn line ) I ask because rather than draw a freehand stroke and then use the Surface Strip Tool you can position the curve 'guide' first, then use the Surface Strip Tool.
