the Coat is much better and easy than the Brush.its enough for simple sings to start with.so keep learning working for fun.good idea to have a universe.fun road.i do not know about blender but seems hard.keep installing any demo to try out.study the help files.maya modo max cinema lw etc.compare and take your time.then 2d skills may be animation tests.the a game engine unity or unreal.then publish for vr.jack of all trades -

Looking for Advice on the best method to Detail Models
moska replied to pgson's topic in Finished Projects
Hi,are you by chance the piggyson from youtube? I'm only used to voxels, but you can give a try on live clay too! as for moving between surface and voxys, you can save different version and experiment without fear. also consider upgrade licence cause it worth the price. cheers -

Do you usually get inspired or depressed by other artist's work?

intresting subjects i agree Michalis here.i also learned somewhere that humans are simplifying info in order to memorise ,assimilate that info or experiences. the 3d thing means both a great technologic leap and an artistic creative whatever choice.so its hard and lengthy slow process.but thinking and judging and estetical choose are fast impulsive.generally and don't care about this much.individual POV will certain guive big picture. my question then ,as I'm lazy to find by myself, is:what about Gestalt and the relation between parts and whole thing in such detail works without clear main lines contracts rhytms and so? may be Nossgrr course on personalities would clarify more? -
i love this stuff. im about making old palace with deco for unity (mong other things). cheers

lets say i want to sculpt a bas relief using a picture as reference ,but as if it was imprinted in the mesh mass. imagine the import big plane with that picture assigned as image texture, but then voxel or at least surface sculpting possibillity!not just micro vertex deph painting! any ideas?any voxel shader permanent projection on one axis?any chance to sculpt in a surface with uvs that can display the texture we need? all this because the reference image planes dont respond to this situation. resuming:if i want to give depht to a picture (as i bas relif style)i would like to have the mesh already textured with the source image and then i would manualy sculpt it (in voxels please!) can any one point any sugestions? thanks
