  1. no need for, most of your models makes me smiling. example this one, i try to imagin how it looks, when it tries to close his mouth. very cool. my two cents, try to stay on a way that your models could work for animation. and that its believe able that creature exist. all animals need to close there mouth completly, instead they couldnt do a air pressure equalisation, or is it about parasits (i dont know). its different to us humans, we can this by closing the nose with fingers and doing the pressure equalisation through our mouths. or im completly wrong, anyway. i think it looks nice, although you will run into troubles by animating it with a closed mouth.
  2. shameless holy callings! its good! i would say it looks great, if the skin wouldnt look like plastic and the treassacks would look more natural. so its a good model in a cartoon style. but the texture is very good on someparts!
  3. your renderings are all the time nice! but what i like to see, you already improved modeling.
  4. cool, it has anything from arnold schwarzenegger
  5. of course you have right. i have to overwork it. there lot regions which arnt that cool to me, i rushed it. about the animation, hmmm, its related to the animator. at my tiny experience of animating things i dont see any big problem, exclude of course i havnt a mouthsack. so this character is in overall not able to speak. bad deformations are just related to bad deformations in the blendshaps. so if the animator is doing bad deformations there, because of his fine motoric... but i give you right, the mouth region would look different if i have in mind to animate this region. thank you for your critic, i will mind it in future. and yes to 3d coat, its a amazing tool, and yes i will going to buy it anytime. but then i will work on other computer, laptops are nice, but far away to work with them on way like on a workstation.
  6. looks good, some parts are displaying highly advanced skills and some excatly the opposite. the feets for example and the backbody arnt that nice. but in overall a nice model so far!
  7. yes looks a bit like the alien out of "enemy mine". but one big thing, the skin looks amazing wrong, you had to invert the brush by pattern it.
  8. quite nice to talk about learning (huga?) i think this tool needs to be used and not to be learned. i dont see a point which would be related to the word learning. its a amazing intuitive tool, you only need to have a bit of intellect, but give me 100,- euro per hour and i will show you, how to use this tool. and also how to hold a brush (i red that you needed 2 days to know how textures works, it made me a bit smilling, you could save a amount of time (and if time is money) also money, if you spend me this 100,- p hour or maybe a bit more in your case (friendship price) , if you take a online class at me) good luck you boths ^^
  9. so i have 6 days left till my trial ends. maybe im going to finish this one model i talked about. depends on my motivation. if not, then i will finish it, when i bought a version of 3d coat. im very into learning c++ at moment. so maybe im going to finish it in couple of months. my conclusion -> 3d coat is a amazing tool, which makes lot of fun to work with. it lets a artist enough of free space to work very intuitive with. so im sure, im going to buy it anytime (just related to my income, when im able to).
  10. ^^ what a man, he will do it! ^^ make him red brown
  11. it looks nice textured! just one thing, if im watching your realtime rendering, you would have 9 verts to make forehead a bit more round, it looks amazing flate. if you doing this ~ 2500 verts character, its maybe better if you dont do so many verts for the eyes, ears and toe´s, display this via textures and normalmap. you could use it for the top of the head and the back head and the wear. the arm itself looks swelled and the feets needs also a bit more work, maybe you make them a bit more natural. the texture looks good to me. there is only one thing (not a big thing), if you watch the hair beginning, maybe use a smaller brush to paint the hair beginning in. but in overall it looks like a clean work! the style isnt that what i like, but your work looks clean.
  12. so now im having it in a nice low level mesh... the other things will be displayed via a normalmap and a colormap! maybe im going to delete some loops out. some are really not important for a low level mesh.
  13. oh to late im nearly done with it. just adjusting some verts. im very comfortable with. but your retopo solution looks nice.
  14. fingerpainting wow, the retopo tool works great! althought i never used to retopo a head before, it took not longer than ~15 minutes do this on the touchpad at my laptop (in bed). let me see how long a the complete head takes, maybe around 45 minuts laying in bed ^^ its a great tool!
