Happy new year everyone! Nice finals guys, both are excellent. Love the Lionshead and the detailing of the emblems. I won't be finishing this as animation project has had all of my attention. I will be using the character again later. Best of luck to everyone! -

Everyone is making amazing progress. I finally found some time to spend on this, will hopefully get a few hours tomorrow as well. -

I've had the bust in surface mode for a while but should I be trying to avoid voxels completely? -

Some gorgeous work here again, I like the 2 month format. @Chingchong, I used voxels for the hair, probably add to it in surface mode if I have the time. I look forward to seeing a new pose! Cheers for the link! @Carlosan, looking good! Nice physique and detailing. @Marc, cool character choice, and good start. @Beatkitano, love the gear she's wearing (the details on that alien head ); and a gorgeous face and expression! Pretty much done with the torso; especially since I'll probably be covering it all. Haven't decided on what she'll be wearing yet; but I have until I finish the arms. -

Nice progress Chingchong, awesome lions head and I like where you're going with the pose and the mace. @BeatKitano, she's looking epic I'm leaving the face at this point, still more to be done but I need to get a move on to the body and accessories. She has some back-story but no name; I'll post her story once I've more sculpting done. Question; is there a right way of making realistic eyes in 3d Coat? Hair is just a place holder at this point; the muscles tool is very useful and gets decent results really fast. Totally impressed with the software. -

Off to a wicked start! Your approach with the dreadlocks makes sense, I went through 2 iterations of them with the predator because I did them too early. I get driver crashes when switching to the render room in windowed mode; but I have a low spec graphics card -
Be careful: the resolution of the layer that you merge to will denote the resolution of the final layer. I made that mistake recently and lost a lot of details as I didn't notice until further into the sculpt.

Excellent choice sir I'm still throwing ideas around, kinda want to do something original but I'll see how it progresses. Some great ideas emerging from everyone. Great theme! -

I really like the sound of this, and it's great having until 2014 to finish Soooo many options to choose from... Just so I'm clear though, it's ok to develop our own hero/heroine? -
Congrats BeatKitano!

Indeed, best of luck to all. I don't envy Ebitz having to chose a winner among the bunch! Thanks Ajz3d, I would kill for your skills, and your speed. I'll finish the predator soon hopefully.

I might be too late, but it was fun, and I'm better prepared for the next contest. I try not to think about the AVP movies I think I'll come back to this when I've got a bit more experience with 3dcoat, but I would love to get it to the point where'd I'd be happy to rig it. Happy enough with it as my first serious go at sculpting and vertex painting. FINAL

Thanks Digiman, I'll go that route, time is not my friend right now!
