Good morning,
I have just started a training course including to Maya and 3dcoat and this is probably a silly question, but I've been trying for a while to resolve it myself and I can't find a clue of what is happening. This is it:
1. I have an object created in Maya 2016 which I import into 3dcoat: I choose 3dcoat to automap UVs.
2. I create the textures.
3. I export the obj from 3dcoat back into a new scene in maya (I found out that if I imported the obj into a scene that had the same object, the UV maps created a conflic).
4. I create the material using the difusse image generated by 3dcoat and I apply it to the object.
5. When I display the UV maps for the object, everything looks fine: Shells appear correctly placed over the image
6. However, when I preview the object in Maya, the texture does not use the UVs, and it looks like the difuse image just covers the object tiled a few times.
This happens in my desktop, but not in the course one, so I guess I have something misconfigured. Do any of you have any idea of what may be happening?
Thanks.
