  1. Sorry, found it! 'Import w/o Voxelization' was ticked. Thought I'd looked everywhere
  2. Hi all, Firstly, many thanks for the helpful advice and guidance across the forums, I haven't been using 3DC for long but i'm really loving it. I know very little in regards to the correct way of doing things but I do know what has been working for me to date. Basically I always model the basic forms in Rhino before importing to 3dc for added detail/texturing and this would be done via File>Import Mesh for Voxelization. The model would import as relatively low poly and I would then use the scale option on the import panel to adjust the estimated poly count. This worked perfectly for me up until now as it doesn't seem to work any more? I can still hit scale when I import and the model gets bigger but the poly count doesn't adjust. I can use the subdivide option but I don't have control over the poly count in the way that the scale option allowed. Am I missing something or has it actually changed now? Thanks! Andy
  3. Hi all, I only became aware of 3D-Coat a week ago and it's already proved to be invaluable. It is however slightly outside of what I'm accustomed to so apologies for the very simplistic question! I use Rhino and T-splines every day so I have no issue with modelling or adding to organic models in 3D-Coat, where I do have issues however is when I need something more structured such as a seamless repeat pattern for example. What I'm currently trying to do is deboss a repeat texture into a vase shape that I've created in Rhino, ready for 3D printing. Could anyone lend a hand in regards to how I should go about doing this? Simple alphas and brushes I'm fine with but how do I begin to go about embossing cylinders and more organic forms all over as with the attached images? Many thanks in advance! Andy
