  1. Nice Sculpt. Are you planning on adding more details? Also, some ideas regarding the retopo poly flow :
  2. What about re-topoing the one section, baking a displacement map (or a normal map for that matter) and then using that all the way round?
  3. While the old interface is notorious for being difficult to work with (subjective) the new interface pictured above is supposed to move away from the old style and really does seem to be much cleaner and better laid out (the pdf document outlines their reasoning behind it quite well and talks quite well about UI design in general). The new blender interface and the Modo UI both exhibit excellent/more "artist friendly" UI design. EDIT: Wanted to add, I love the look of the current final design
  4. Congratulations to you and your family Andrew! Keep us updated as to how things go .
  5. Foxit reader! >>>http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
  6. Gotta say I agree with Roger K. 3D-Coat just doesn't grab me and, at the end of the day you need a name that is memorable and unique if you want people to go away from any advert and recall/make the effort to find the name of the software they just read about.
  7. Yeah, all the best from me too. Loving the improvements as well! Looking forward to seeing what the new site will be like
  8. From the looks of your screen shot, your texture isn't high enough resolution or your UV map isn't using enough UV space efficiently which is why your painting is coming out blotchy and blurred at the edges (pixelated) and explains why switching off draw by spots has no effect.
  9. .mov always seems to work well, for me at least...
  10. Agreed! This would be a useful addition.
  11. Nice one for pointing this out to the community! That's allegorithmic for anyone trying to find it - same people who worked on the Imagesynth plugin with Luxology.
  12. You're right, I hadn't loaded a model. Thanks for clearing that up.
