  1. Hi Hdharris, Thanks for comment. Sure, I also can't recall the last time I used a fishing rod... oh... wait I don't go fishing. (This is a joke that means: It all depends on the thing you like to do.) Now, getting serious, I understand that many users don't use the "Quad View" or need one... it all depends on how "one's" brain "works" when modeling /sculpting? For me, I'm an old school modeler kind of person, more than anything else. My main tool was "Lightwave Modeler" for many years so the "Quad View" is like "hardwired" in my modeling /texturing process (and there's nothing wrong with it). I started using 3Dcoat since the beginning, mainly for Texture Paint. When I mean beginning, I really mean when Andrew first visited the NewTek forum to collect ideas on how to create "3D Coat". Later he gave us the Alpha and Beta releases to test... fantastic times, so long ago. I'm now adopting Blender (since LW development has stopped) and I use "3DCoat 4.x" mainly to apply PBR materials on my models. Fortunately Blender also offers a Quad View mode UI. About your question: "why is that the line for being an official 3d software?" I'm sure you noticed the "huge smile" ending my sentence... so yes... I made a "kind-of" a joke but joke or not the sentence carries some truth in it since all well know 3D CG programs offer the Quad view IU option. So, please, let it be. Cheers, stay safe.
  2. Users are asking for a quad-view UI option at least since 2008 in this forum. It is a shame that 3DCoat still does not offer a quad view option in V4 cycle. Any 3D software that does not offer a quad view UI, can't really be called a 3D software.
  3. Sorry for the late reply. Many thanks for the valuable tip.
  4. Well, I decided to re-install 4.5 over the previous 4.5 and now all is fixed. Weird stuff.
  5. Now, I have this message when I try to get in the Sculpt room: (see attached image)
  6. I'm sorry if this issue was already debated/explained on this forums. I searched the forum but didn't find this issue debated/reported. Is it possible for the user to invert the zoom axis (mouse) on preferences? To me, the 3DCoat 4.5 default zoom axis really is counter-intuitive. All the 3D apps I work with, moving the mouse forward, Zooms in and moving the mouse backwards, zooms out. The mouse should always represent the user head/point of view, when one moves forward it is expected to see things approach, not going away, makes any sense? Many thanks.
  7. Hi, I just upgrade my Coat 3.7 to 4.5. I uninstalled 3DCoat 3.7 to get rid of a lot of shaders/materials/alphas that I don't need/want anymore. Only after the full uninstall of 3.7 (deleted all the folders related with it) I made a fresh install of 4.5 yet, I noticed that I don't have any shaders available on sculpt / voxels room. What went wrong? I already uninstalled 3D Coat 4.5 twice and reinstalled it but it didn't solve the issue. See attached image for clarify. Many thanks. Ben NOTE: Administrator, a similar post was previously posted on "New Users" forum segment. Feel free to move or delete it since my issue is better explained on this one. Many thanks.
  8. Hi Custodian. Many thanks for the tip, yet it is not a question of Migration. I uninstalled my previous version 3.7 and only then I made a fresh install of 4.5. In the 4.5 fresh install the voxel room sharers are not available. I wonder why....
  9. Hi, I just upgrade my Coat 3.7 to 4.5. I noticed that I don't have any Shader available on Sculpt room that I can choose from, to better see my sculpting (I use the wax type shader). What went wrong? I already uninstalled 3D Coat 4.5 twice and reinstalled it but it didn't solve the issue. See attached image for clarify. Many thanks. Ben
