  1. Hello Greg, Yes, I am using the latest beta version. Also, the steps I took was simply to import a specific .obj file into the Splines tab. However, I've been unable to reproduce the problem and it appears that turning on Beta options fixed it. It was probably a fluke. I forgot to attach the file in the last post. Here it is. Thank you for your reply. segment-spline2.OBJ
  2. This is odd. I was reading another post and decided to enable Beta Tools to test them out, and it fixed the curves problem.
  3. Hello, I imported an obj into the splines profile and the curves tool stopped working for me. It now behaves as though its a brush and it will not create curve points. It was a simple cylindrical obj that I was attempting to use to create a segmented tail. I tried reinstalling 3D Coat but the functionality hasn't returned. I've attached the .obj I used if that helps. Also, I use a Mac. Thanks for any assistance.
  4. Thank you, kay_Eva. I just used a base colour (sampled from a photo) and painted it pretty roughly on one layer. I don't really know how to do much beyond that at the moment, but I'll get there.

Thanks. I think I could do better now that I've stumbled upon the notion of using a base mesh, but glad you like it. Maybe I'll do a new one and stick it in my sketchbook thread.
  6. A rough colouring of McKellen.
  7. Thanks, digman. I'm trying to do a lot of them over a short period of time, not really polishing them too much. Just a disclaimer: I start by importing a basic human mesh, so they're not entirely from scratch. Here's Ian McKellen with caricature proportions.
  8. Here's a WIP of myself.
  9. Great video, I learned quite a bit. Also, you have the best narration voice of any tutorial I've ever watched. Are you a professional voice over?
  10. Thanks, I understand that, but I'd like to be able to make hide/show to a hotkey. Is that possible? I tried mapping it but it does not seem to work.
  11. Is there any way to set up shortcut for this? I can't seem to do it in a conventional way. I would love to be able to set the '/' key for this, like in Artrage (toggles tracing image off/on).
  12. Hello, This is not a big deal, but would it be possible to make it so that you can load separate front and back image plane photos? Right now the front view shares the back view background image.
