  1. Hello, my problem: I have a low poly model (airplane) made with 3ds max. But on this model I have to paint very high detailed textures. So in 3ds max I have more than one unwrap-map with different map-id. e.g. one map for the right wing, one for the left. But in 3dcoat I've only one uv. Can I change between different uv? and paint on them so then by the export I will have different texture-files? thx andre
  2. Hello, where in 3dc is the standard save-path for materials, brushes ....? I have a lot of textures and self defined brushes made with drag and drop, but now I should get a new pc and want to transfer this files. andre

  4. Hello, I have to paint a military plane with high detailed elements (text, screws...) To do this I have devided my model in 20 pieces. Each piece has its own uvw (2048x2048px). Then in the paintroom I import the first piece, paint it and export it back to 3ds max. There is all well, the piece and the right texture. Then I imported it back to 3dc and add the second peace. The first piece is with the correct texture and on the second piece I can paint the texture on. Now it were a very good feature when I can switch between several pieces and paint on its own uvw. And when I export the whole scene that there are all pieces in an own file with its own texture-file.
  5. Hello, I have installed the Applink for 3dsmax. The first update works, but what do I have to do, if I create a new layer in 3dc paintroom and paint something on my model. When is the update in max? Or do I have to export the model again? -Andre-

  7. Hello, I have a retopo-model. I have marked seams, because I have to texture my model with hq-textures. So I want to move defferent faces to different groups. Now I want to select only these faces with the same uv. Hope you understand what I mean.
  8. Hello, I have a military airplane-model made in 3DC and 3ds max. Now I have to texture this model so it looks like real. What is the best (easiest) way to texture this model? I have photos (screws and text, specially for textur) from the real airplane. thx andre
  9. Hello, how can I export only the retopo-model on the selected layer to fbx? Or, how can I select all polys on the selected layer to export the selection? I have a retopo-model on several layers and what to export each layer to a single file. thx andre

  11. Hello, In one file I have a airplane without the wings. In another file I have the wings. I want to use 3d coat to retopo one model, so I need both models as reference. Is it possible to use two reference models in one retopo-room? thx Andre
