  1. Anyone have any Ideas? I moved my document folder but that seemed to cause some problems so I had to move it back. I guess this is a setback when using a flash drive?
  2. I there a way I can change the storage path of imported brushes? I have a new machine and i has only a small flash drive so I would very much like to store them on my other internal drive where the main os is not located. I had imported lots of brushes and wound up with 25 gigs in the 3dc brush storage folder. Thanks.
  3. UPDATE Got it working. Have to delete all the other maps before I re import the normal map to flip the green. On that note it would be great if there were a way to flip channels on the normal maps on an export. If there is already I cant find it. Thanks all.
  4. Hi all, I make content for poser. I love 3d coat, but! I cannot seem to get my models to have no seams when Using a normal map. I know about needing to invert the green channel. So I export my normal map and re import it into 3dc to flip the green channel. (no option for this on an export.) I have read the manual and believe I have all the settings right in the retopo room before I merge. Any help appreciated greatly.
  5. Thank you very much for the reply. I am running ATI 5770 right now. I am becoming very fond of 3d coat and want to do more hard edged modeling in it. I have a decent system. nothing fancy, a 6 core with gigs of ram. When watching some of the tutorial videos it appeared to me as if people were able to sculpt at higher resolutions than I currently can. Just to be clear. I will certainly notice a difference in the fill and smoothing with an nvidia card then? I'm looking at getting a GTX 470 (Fermi) I hate to spend the money since my current card is only a few months old but I make my living with 3d so I need the best tools. Thanks so much for helping me out.
  6. Hi there, I was wondering what Kind of changes I could expect to see If I buy an nvidia card and use Cuda. Most Importantly will I have more responsiveness when filling and smoothing at high resolutions? Thanks In advance.
  7. I must be doing something wrong. When I apply the morph in DAZ studio it loads but then it rips the head off when I intensify it. Perhaps I need to adjust the original input settings? I know that is a factor in other sculpting programs. By the way, thank you very much Andrew for the help. You really do a great job and this is a great program!
  8. Hi there all, I am trying to do a .obj morph. What I need to do is import the mesh and then export it at its original size and update vertices position only. What I need to do is load the obj morph in either poser or daz studio. Can anyone suggest settings or is this possible? Thanks again
  9. This dose help. However one on the challenges I am having is that I need to make the picture less wide but not less tall. Is there an option for that? I have not seen one. Maybe I just need to adjust the picture in psp ahead of time so it lines up better. If you have ever seen a DAZ figure victoria 4 or m3, what I am trying to do is to start making my textures in 3d coat as opposed to by hand is psp. Is it possible to achieve super high quality results (as in the new v4 elite series) doing it in 3d coat? I really love the program and its quite difficult to get rid of ugly seams when doing it by hand.
  10. Two things really, 1. How can I resize my background texture image? I need to be able to make it shorter or wider. 2. I am working with some high res images and when i am painting i am not able to get super high quality, seems as there is a bit of distortion. I am tired to doing the textures in paint shop pro. I want to be able to make the texture without seams in 3dcoat. Well any help will be greatly appreciated. I know its got to be something I am doing wrong. I am a new user still on the demo. Very nice overall program btw. Last but not least I have 4 gigs ram, page file set to high as instructed and a good new vid card, still getting out of mem error. Perhaps my textures are too large? Any tips on ways to get around this? Oh ya, running 32 bit. Well thanks to whomever is kind enough to take the time to answer. Thanks, Michael
