Reputable Contributor digman Posted July 25, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 25, 2012 Here is a little tip for ya... Using the Secondary Color Picker for reference images in the voxel room. We have the ability to have axis define reference images but sometimes you want just an image you can look to help spark ideas. Also to help define form and at the end adding those those nice small details. As a side note, the secondary color picker is great for holding your model's color palette (externally made) in the paint room as it always stays open. You just pick the palette color you want from the image with a tap of your pen or left click with the mouse... We do have a color palette holder in the paint room, but it's sooooooooooooooo tiny... Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 26, 2012 Contributor Report Share Posted July 26, 2012 Thanks for the tip. I use Leigh Bamforth's "Reference Image" for much the same. In it you work through a lower opacity image as it's always on top.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted July 26, 2012 Author Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 26, 2012 Leigh's is a good program, but linux users are out of luck on his program. I tried to run it under wine for 12.04, no luck. Maybe it will drive a few sales his way for window users once they see how nice it is to have a reference image...
