Member scotth Posted September 27, 2012 Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2012 A camera navigation cube would be a great addition to 3D Coat. Easier to navigate to the exact camera angle you want, easy with a glance to remember what camera angle you are viewing, etc. Each face, edge, and corner snaps you to a preset camera angle. Instant deactivation in any autodesk software because this thing kill perf. We already have shift constrained views and camera shortcuts. Please don't waste time on that thing. Sorry to be thar negative but i'm sure some autodesk software users will understand me.
Advanced Member paulrus Posted September 28, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 I'm really surprised to see anyone requesting that feature. When Autodesk forced that thing into Softimage, it was the butt of all jokes. It's the absolute last thing I would like to see added to 3DC at this time. -Paul

I think alot of the negativity was because autodesk's version was utterly shite. It made the max viewport randomly freak out, and broke network rendering with backburner(that blew my mind, render nodes with the viewcube dll would simply crash until you removed it.) Maya's original solution was really nice.
