New Member eakiah Posted November 13, 2013 New Member Report Share Posted November 13, 2013 I'm interested in this feature but can find no info or tutorials concerning this, are there any available?
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted November 13, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted November 13, 2013 I think it was a result of just one person's request...for manufacturing purposes/output. I don't fully understand it's use, so I haven't even tried to demonstrate. I think Polyxo does that sort of work. Perhaps he can help. Advanced Member polyxo Posted November 13, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 13, 2013 eakiah, the undercut removal tool does something different than one might expect, and is certainly not ideally named. What it does can be imagined as an automated way to fill in certain recessed portions of a relief which can not be 3 axis milled or deep-drawn. You can quickly try this out with any simple sample model and the axis set to Y. In your PM you wrote that you would rather like to mark undercuts so that you could edit these manually. Unfortunately this afaik isn't available thus far. Maybe this thread gives you some more helpful information.
