V4.5 BETA (experimental)

Recommended Posts

Sorry for this:

Why Smart material preview render is more powerful that Render Room preview ?

Could be unified -in a future roadmap- as one unique preview for all rooms ?

Are there any benefits from CUDA versions of 3DC? I can't see the difference.

No, in fact Andrew doesn't bother upgrading the version of CUDA used and doesn't really like it;  it's clumsy to program with. Looks like he's going with OpenGL/Mantle/Vulcan in development though for me right now DirectX works best.

there is a significant increase in some brushes speed in voxel mode ex: Grow (surface mode is not affected)

also if "cuda smooth boost" from voxel menu is activated it gives a pretty strong kick to smoothing speed in voxel mode,

meaning you can use larger radius before experiencing bottleneck.

And it might also speed up some voxel operation here and there that Im not aware of.

Thanks, artman. I have made some tests but have not noticed the difference.

Hi, in version 4.5.02 there still has same bug. In Smart Materials if select a material to edit , after click cancel, this material will disappear....

That's very interesting. It's an old bug I thought it was fixed some time ago.

Free pbr nice!

Is there a way to paint using the "old" workflow? How do I export Diffuse, Specular, and Normal map (non-pbr)?

Thanks again  :)

If you don't need PBR just choose Textures->Texture export workflow->Gloss/Specular color

Also View->Greyscale panoramas

It will be closest to previous approach.
