New Member Sven Schilling Posted February 8, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2015 Hi fellow artists, i'm relative new to 3dcoat and having a hard time with importing a sketchup model into 3dcoat (everytime some planes are missing), so my question is do i have to pay attention so something special before importing into 3dcoat or do i have to cliacxk some extra option when exporting them in sletchup? Kind regads, Sven Schilling
Advanced Member Ghastly Posted February 12, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 12, 2015 If I remember correctly Sketchup uses booleans and ngons to make it's models which can have unexpected results when importing them into other programs. I've only used Sketchup a few times. It's handy for creating quick greebles. I used to import the mesh first into Hexagon which can handle booleans and ngons and then triangulate the ngons to get a geometry that would work with other programs.
