philnolan3d
I don't use or like Blender but someone just pointed out that they released a new one with a lot of new features, includuing sculpting that is about on-par with Mudbox. http://www.blender.org/features-gallery/fe...ideo=sculpt_two This one's fairly impressive. Sculpture reminds me a little of Jet Li. http://www.blender.org/features-gallery/fe...deo=head_sculpt

Member forcelle Posted October 22, 2008 Member Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 Blender has a sculpt tool for quite some time now. They just improve it a bit in the latest release... And it also has a retopo and paint texture tools. They're all good, but not as good as what 3dc has at this moment.

A girl I know is very proficient with Real Flow, she used it for the ocean water effects on the movie The Guardian (Kevin Costner, Ashten Kutcher). So I asked her what she thought of Blenders liquids and she said she had used it and thought it was OK, but no where near Real Flow.
