Advanced Member spacepainter Posted April 3, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 3, 2016 Before there was a way to import a textured scan into the sculptroom, but this somewhat hidden path seems to be asphalted by the many new features. If anyone would be so kind to explain how to work with textured sculptures?
Advanced Member Solution Gary Dave Posted April 3, 2016 Advanced Member Solution Report Share Posted April 3, 2016 You should have a read through this thread maybe:http://3dcoat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19089 I think the gist of it is that you import as a surface object with a very high poly count, and 3d coat can apply the texture as vertex paint. (if you're doing .obj you'll need the .mat file too). Then retopo + UV (both can be automated) and bake.
