Advanced Member benk Posted June 5, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 5, 2016 Amazing work Michael. I am not sure I should even bother working on my project any more. This level of work is well beyond my means. Are you going to unwrap all those parts or vertex paint? Stellar work, looking forward to seeing more. bk
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted June 5, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted June 5, 2016 Lol , you are too nice B , please do keep working. Advanced Member Ballistic_Tension Posted June 5, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 5, 2016 That bike sure has a lot going on . just make the rider a stick figure 1 sided sprite to even it out composition wise just kidding there. will the girl somehow be temporary connected to the bike when on it . Being that she is part mechanical . it is really looking good I can just imagine the MB_Textures that are going to be on it.
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted June 6, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted June 6, 2016 MB Textures all over the place lol ;). Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted June 13, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted June 13, 2016 Yes , is a multi purpose goggles ..... at least on my head lol Zoom for repairing the bike , different zones for the chain to hold on the head perimeter , micro zoom for detail working , etc etc. Idea was a goggle to use to repair in general as rider is a StemPunk robot and needs repairs too. Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 7, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 All groups on one UV map?
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted July 7, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 Yes , i want to do the final render on Octane and i need to make sure my 4 Giga ram can handle the several 8k and 4k textures. The less the better , will get a medium distance from the camera so everything looks really sharp and high detailed.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 7, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 Painting for Octane interests me also and card has 4 gig as well. So you use 8 k textures to accommodate lots of objects with a decent amount of resolution?
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted July 7, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 Exactly , but i quarantine , quality is superb , no need to worry about that. A few trick as you allready know , where details are needed crank the scale of the uv up , on less interesting areas take the scale down , eye gets tricked extremely easily and no one will ever notice , word lol
Contributor Michaelgdrs Posted July 7, 2016 Author Contributor Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 Character and bike will have separate uvs / textures so secondary items gets a unique uv and i paint with separate paint objects. Habbit i got from the VR games content creation.
