Advanced Member spacepainter Posted June 8, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 8, 2016 Hi Not new to 3DCoat , But asking for help! Is there someone patient able and willing to help me step by step to understand the process of retopo, baking, wrapping and re-applying textures? ( I have been trying to understand for a long time ). Because I want to be able to print sculptures in colour, from things that I scanned. So I want to work on the "clay" and then later work on the "Paint", then print on Shapeways. Advanced Member arumiat Posted June 10, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 10, 2016 Have you tried messaging some of the official tutors like Javis and Michaelgdrs, worth doing so
Carlosan
my humble opinion: for print... retopo dont have sense. decimate the same model and use it as low level mesh. you could export .stl or wrl file format, but first check which model format with color information your printer accept. if the model is huge, split the parts using template molds //edit Simplify3D could help your final task too
