Contributor Tony Nemo Posted July 14, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted July 14, 2016 Try the "Decimate" command in the Geometry menu. This permits a great reduction without loss of detail and will lower the memory load for your computer.

Member davide445 Posted July 21, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 Thanks @Tony Nemo and @Carlosan. I was able to complete the split just shifting the plane in another position. Tried the decimate tool, he introduce artifact in the split borders, I suppose need to use it before and not after splitting.
Member davide445 Posted July 21, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) After achieving this I want to add some fake fur on the body. I have two options: add real fur in term of spikes or just some superficial long stipe that give the effect of fur attached to body. Actual geometry and not texture since need to be 3d printed, experimented with Spikes, Muscle and Snake clay tools that appear to be good for my needs, but want to know if there is any way to define some random pattern, so to apply the very same effect on the surface without manually apply all them.
