Advanced Member Aleksey Posted September 26, 2016 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 26, 2016 I've been using 3dcoat for a while, but never had to do this specific task and cant find it for some reason. I have 2 meshes, a high poly and a low poly ( recieved externally). I brought in the low poly and unwrapped it. great! i then went to sculpt room, and brought in the high res one into a surface mode layer. great! now what do i press to bake the high res to the low res? i can't seem to find it
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 26, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted September 26, 2016 Never having done that, I will still attempt an answer. I would first "Import from Retopo" to get the low res mesh into the sculpt room and with Move, Pose or Transform tools, you get your low res to conform to your high res. When you return to Retopo, you can bake in the usual way. Just guessing, of course.

Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 27, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 The baking commands are now located in the BAKE menu, but the process is still the same as in this video:
