Been out of the 3D loop for a while and I'm sure there have been lots of changes. When I open 3DC, and I want to bring in a model made elsewhere and want to paint texture and displacemnet on it, how do I bring it into 3DC? There are a bunch of options when you open the app and I just want to make sure I'm using the correct or most efficiet one.

Thanks!

Bob

From the Splash Screen, you can click on the "Per Pixel Paint" Option. You can export a normal map + Displacement map if you use Micro Vertex. It just uses a Displacement, by default, when you paint/sculpt in the Depth channel. There is a little bit of overlap either mode you choose. PPP can export displacement as well as a normal map, but it primarily uses a normal map when painting in the Depth Channel.
