Why do OBJs import correct POS but .3b files DO NOT

OK. I figured this out myself. It's important when importing OBJs to ALWAYS check the NO CENTER SNAP button (it should be ON by default but is not).

For some reason, 3DC will import successive objects IN THE APPARENT CORRECT POSITION even if this button is NOT CHECKED. But as soon as you SAVE as a .3b file, the origins are changed-- I suspect relative to the bounding box-- so it's not possible to 'align' them ever again (unless I'm missing something).

Even more confounding is ALL THE .3b FILES IMPORT into Unity just FINE and in the CORRECT LOCATION.

I do believe I'm now pretty much screwed as I've PAINSTAKINGLY mapped a dozen objects for a consumer product company and now I want to import them all back into 3DC to try and add a collective Ambient Occlusion layer. Not the end of the world, but certainly something I believe should be looked at.
