Member Richard Hebert Posted June 1, 2017 Member Report Share Posted June 1, 2017 1. When I import a model and select the map size (2K for example) and later realize I need a larger map size than the 2K is there a way to select a larger map size (4K for example) without reimporting the model? 2. Smoothing appears to be maxed out causing the geometry to appear "pin cushioned". Smoothing is set to none when importing but the effect is still there upon import. What am I doing wrong? Carlosan
Hi ! Can you please share your import settings ?
Member Richard Hebert Posted June 1, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted June 1, 2017 Actually, that answers the texture size question, thanks! How about the smoothing issue? I've got 'no smoothing' selected on mesh import for per pixel painting but still getting max smoothing.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted June 1, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 1, 2017 (edited) Are talking about the uv smoothing setting in the import panel. If so that is for if you subdivide your model when importing. Auto smoothing in the tool panel is what you need to use if you want to control the amount of smoothing upon import. Select the setting and type in the amount of smoothing degree. Edited June 1, 2017 by digman

Member Richard Hebert Posted June 2, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted June 2, 2017 OK, I've adjusted the setting to 0 degrees just to see what happens and I still get the pin cushion effect. Any other recommendations that I might try or is it something that may not be functioning correctly?

Member Richard Hebert Posted June 2, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted June 2, 2017 OK, 0 degrees doesn't show any change; however, changes greater than zero works correctly. I've got it working now. Thanks guys!
