New Member db765 Posted June 5, 2017 New Member Report Share Posted June 5, 2017 I use 3dcoat mainly to clean up my scans and texture maps for 3D Printing. Now i have scanned 3 persons for a client for animation purposes. Can anyone explain me the complete workflow to go from a high res scanned mesh to a retopo mesh with baked texture and normal map. I prefer to use the auto retopo option.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted June 5, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) I use Photoscan and a different workflow from the one shown in AbnRanger's video but you already have cleaned up meshes before... Some parts of the video I use. The biggest hurdle you have in the process requested is using Autopo to create an animation ready model. You might get somewhat close but no current autopo routines not only 3DCs will really give you complete control over producing an animation ready bipedal human. If you use Skype and are interested it is easier to show through screen sharing than to type a lengthy process here. Send me a personal pm if interested.
