Reputable Contributor digman Posted June 12, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 12, 2017 In your Picture, I see you have color tolerance selected, Turn it off if you want the full Smart Material to be applied. Also where is your Preview options panel as Carlosan asked. That is normally always open when using a smart material. If you are using a brush and close the preview panel, then switch to the fill tool, it will not re-appear. Switch to another Smart Material and it will come back. Then you can switch back to your original Smart Material. Please show which Smart Material you are using.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted June 12, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted June 12, 2017 (edited) Forgot to mention... That the magnifying icon in the preview panel is use to match the scale of the smart material to the scale of your model. Left Click and hold down the mouse buttton / pen on the magnifying icon and scroll right or left horizontally to scale the image smaller or larger to fit your model. Scrolling right will scale the texture image smaller or in other words if you keep scrolling you will start too see the repeating pattern of the seamless material. Scrolling left will increase the scale till the the textures starts to look blurry or blocky depending up the material.
