Member kritskiy Posted August 14, 2017 Member Report Share Posted August 14, 2017 Hey everyone, could anyone please tell me if it's possible to control the amount of overlapping for vox split tool and/or smooth for vox hide? I just want two pieces with no overlaps and seams. Both tools create bizarre result :/ Thanks!
Member kritskiy Posted August 14, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted August 14, 2017 ah ok I found an option to control Split overlap. However question about Vox Hide remains

Reputable Contributor digman Posted August 16, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) It appears to me that your voxel object is low resolution. You simply do not have enough voxel resolution to create clean cut. Increase the voxel resolution. Left tool panel. (Res+) or use Resample. Here is my result of using the split tool with enough voxel resolution to get a clean cut. I swtiched to Surface mode before applying the split as that gives the cleanest cut. My settings are shown for the split tool and the e-panel, E-panel setting is not be necessary when using the split tool but if ever in doubt put border width to "0" Second picture. The left side is split but you do not even see a seam. Right side I pull apart so you can see where the cut is at. Member kritskiy Posted August 25, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted August 25, 2017 Thanks guys! As I mentioned, I found the option to control split overlap, however I still wonder if it's possible to control edge smoothness of Vox Hide
