I'm still not going back to Intel anytime soon. Not after all of their shenanigans. Just look at the price-gouging. The 16-core variant is over $700 more than the ThreadRipper, with 16-cores. They remain obstinate in their pricing, and we all know that if AMD Ryzen/ThreadRipper wasn't all that competitive, these CPU's would be more than a year or two down the road. My guess is that AMD counters around the first of the year, with Ryzen 7's with higher clock speeds and other improvements and perhaps a 24-32 core version of ThreadRipper. AMD needs to be able to get their CPU's up around the 4.5Ghz range. If they do that, they stand to really put a hurt on Intel's lineup.
