Member Richard Cesar Posted December 15, 2017 Member Report Share Posted December 15, 2017 I am looking everywhere in the interface for a setting to adjust this tool. Somehow it changed to a plateau, and after searching the UI piecemeal and google for hours, I have been completely unable to get a single tangible lead on this. What I expect is a standard selection curve like in all the tutorial videos, what I am getting is a flat selection curve with near 80 degree angles. Not usable for smoothing. Please help. Member Richard Cesar Posted December 15, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted December 15, 2017 I was just coming back to close this. Thank you again.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted December 15, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted December 15, 2017 I was going to suggest the same but even if I choose different alpha's like the 32 x 32 square it does not change the curve to linear in the retopo room. Possible bug there that Richard has found in that the alpha is effecting his curve. I have never seen my alpha curve change in the retopo room because of a alpha that was chosen the paint room. Carlosan
Alphas Windows (T key) can be open in RetopoRoom too. Try it please
Reputable Contributor digman Posted December 15, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted December 15, 2017 LOL, After using 3DC all these years, never once did I open the Alpha brush panel in the retopo room. Never had a need for it...
Member Richard Cesar Posted December 16, 2017 Author Member Report Share Posted December 16, 2017 Yes, its quite possible I accidentally clicked T and changed the brush while in the retopo room. However if I did so it was inadvertently. It had not occurred to me that functionality might have been masked under a hotkey so I had no idea where to look. I was just scouring menu's and ux elements hoping to figure out what I had done (until I had exhausted that route). Thanks for the prompt help!
