Hello there! Nice to see u all, my name is Linda and this is a WIP side of my WorkShop :yahoo:

K, lets begin from a my steps of first-vox-try in coat, what i made some time ago =)

First 3dCoat Steps:

Third-d-d. Here is torax of Hornet (Vespa Crabro), made for SL-game 2. Full Hornet will be later, `cause other parts i left in my home.

btw, so sad to see 512x testure size limit in SL-engine :(

This one is a Wraith Cruiser - 1.5Km organic ship.

After Wraith cruiser I start a new model for DreamsGate proj. named as Iratus bug=)

Here is a some shots of it:

I find a old legs as wrong, cause this beetle loves jumping on the their victim, and this legs looks like a walking ones but not for jump :rolleyes:

After this i made a new jumping legs for this guy:

Ready to use!

Evil Iratus bug finished now... and i learn some issues about auto UV=( What if u use autoUW and 1024x map... u will see so bad reso-n of extracted image. To prevent this thing make UW manualy or set better map quality like 2048+ =) Best experience was gain after mistakes=)

сейчас дам честную оценку)

по форме и объемам. рваные линии. немного бы сгладить контуры, а в остальном интересно и хорошо.

по детализации. слабо выраженная. практически неразбочива.

текстуры. смазанны и также малодетализированы.

резюме.

откатись чуть назад. сгладь форму. поработай с деталями и текстурами более основательно и тщательно. больше деталей.

пожалуйста,восприми эту инфу правильно) стараюсь быть конструктивным.

надеюсь мой коммент будет тебе полезен. :rolleyes:;)

можно, например, найти кучу рефов насекомых. и сделать текстуры проецированием. или просто использовать как образец.

I think its a good idea, what i must to do?

first click on the link at the top of the picture, then when it opens, just right-click on it and then select ''save picture as''.... :good:

ЭТо всё чистая правда :D Спасибо за критику!

Я в топике уже отписала про проблему с текстурами. По незнанию понадеялась на автоУВ коата и тем самым сделала главную ошибку. Сейчас уже поздно что-то менять. Когда заметила что совсем плохое качество текстуры, решила посмотреть УВ... Поняла что всё пропало :unsure:

Видно что на тело ушло 126 пикселов =((( При том что мапа 1024.... И Странно, Жук-то симетричный. А Текстура мировая, много места за зря ушло.

А по повду проецирвоания так и делала... но на такой развертке этого не видно=(

Первый блин комом. В следущий раз перестрою меши и ув по-своему. Благо зверек в игрушке будет размером с крысу и мой позор никто не заметит :nea:

Some cell-based vox experiments

I want to show u 1 experement with cell-b algorythm. This method a very good to make ur work more faster and more interesting.

I created my pistol vox base from 3 images what i made from vectors in CorelDraw.

Reference:

Wrap Image

After u must export this planes into pixel dimension, like a .bmp, .png or another one.

And if u want to make final vox more smoother u can use some edge/gaussian blur in PShop (About 2 - 4pixels).

p.s.: u can make scetch images directly in PShop, if u want. I use corel, cause i find it better to make cool quality reference from base image.

Try increasing "softness degree" value in sketch Tool ,maybe it you will like it :)

One more advice - apply some blur to reference images (gaussian blur, radius - 2-3 pixels). Result will be much more smooth.
