I rly love to use the sketch tool for the heavy hardsurface things and so on =)
1. Make a vector thing, export as 8bit GS .bmp 

2. Translocate in scetch tool

3. Apply :)

im  a big fan of the District 9 universe and i makin' this weapon for my friend and his game(mod on Fallout:NV)

About Dune, Nice site, but i vry love original design from the movie by the epic artists like Moebius and so on

Nice job on the retopo! but I was wondering about the high poly version...seems like it must be pretty high with all of that detail. Was it slowing down your computer at all?

Oh, voxel... hmm, every part about 2-4kk, the main hull 8kk =) DownGradeProxy, cell and hide tool - saves memory

Conclusion:
3 days of work

 

Software:

3d-Coat - sculpt, retopo, uv, bake, texture refine and paint
Photoshop - texture and material

Corel Rave - vector graphics for the sketch tool

MeshLab - mesh doctor and refiner

Maya - combine, mat reassign
