Member Arashi2 Posted February 11, 2010 Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 Hello, i recently came across this site http://11dlabs.com/products/firefly and then i thought, wouldn't this be also possible in 3D Coat since there is already a support for 3D Connexion is it possible to have switch for either controlling the camera or the tool, similar to that shown on the site above? Advanced Member ifxs Posted February 11, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2010 impressive, would be useful for many apps, especially 3D Coat, wonder if it'll be out for OSX/linux soon?
Taros
Hm... I'am not sure. What I would miss first, is the force feedback.
Advanced Member splodge Posted February 12, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 The pen looked very clunky. Your arm may ache after a while of holding up in the air. Notice how they demonstrate by creating something non specific like a robot head. Perhaps trying to create something specific like a human head would just demonstrate how little control they really had. I'm much more interested in their sculpting program - Sculptor. Looks like a more advanced version of Sculptris. I hope they plan to offer a trial version that we can download. Just a video demo at the moment. Advanced Member GED Posted February 12, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 the gallery doesnt show any impressive examples and the demonstration looked a but difficult to use and inaccurate - the mouse cursor was huge! like trying to sculpt real clay with a tennisball
