Member Heath_3d Posted June 22, 2010 Member Report Share Posted June 22, 2010 Well, the title says it all really, it'd be great to be able to load 3d objects as custom pens using a .3b file in the same way as .obj is used currently. The key benefit would be that of being able to have textured 3d objects as the basis for the pen color as well as depth. At the moment the "pen from 3d object" seems really good at first, but quickly feels very limited, not even having smooth shading on the selected model as an option. Thanks, Heath
Advanced Member Digital777 Posted June 25, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 25, 2010 Good idea, maybe another useful thing would be pen from view. So rather than saving and importing it to a pen it instantly makes a pen with whats currently in the view. I was thinking this would be good if you have a detailed model with various details you could find a area you might want to re-use and then make that a pen. This would still be good if there was square edge issues etc as you could export the new pen to a image then edit it and re-import a better version. These updated options would save quite a lot of time i think so it gets a +1 vote from me.
Member DRAWINGTANK Posted July 13, 2010 Member Report Share Posted July 13, 2010 Agree + It would be very useful if we could " save " many versions of this " PEN " Mesh Brush for later use and be able to play with Pen options, spacing direction son on instead of been limited by the Merge dialogue box
