Advanced Member ozukaru Posted September 15, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 I added a new 1GB ram module, now I have 3GB, the maximum that windows xp 32bit accept, as said the OS recognizes it without problem, but when I start 3d-coat it shows that available memory is still only 2GB (just the same amount as it did before the memory upgrade), is this normal? do I need to add even more memory to please 3d-coat?) Member RenderBlur Posted September 15, 2010 Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 32 bit Windows still only allocates max of 2 Gb per application instance. There is one method around this using the /3Gb switch in the boot.ini, here is Microsoft's article on it, or you can Google for more: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/server/pae/paemem.mspx -Jim
