The only thing I can't reproduce - problems with symmetry.

Don't forget buttons Fit and Directional fit.

Hmmm...Strange.On my side Symmetry through all volumes works fine with Move brush

(Im still amazed how good it works actually ...really impressive),

but it does not work with pose tool, only one voxel layer is moved.

What is strange is that the object that is moved is not the necessarily the main selected voxel layer, its the object which has the biggest pose selection.Other object stays unmoved.

Desactivating symmetry makes both move properly.

EDIT: GOT IT. :) SYMMETRY PROBLEM IS CUDA RELATED.With Cuda off it works ok.

Thanks for this release Andrew !

I'm on Mac, using the V35-19A.

and I'm back with the specular issue : )

Painting with a specular of zero will not affect the specularity on the layers beneath. This would be very useful to paint the Dirt layer on a model. but I can't get it to work.

Usually I have this type of layering for my models. Very useful for optimal changes and variations:

5 Dirt

4 Scratches / rust

3 Stickers

2 Main Paint

1 Bare Metal

At the moment I have to do some intricate work around with masks and frozen areas. I'm sure you must have loads of work on your plate, it would be so amazingly great to have that sorted ! : )

Anyway, it's still a pleasure to paint the models of our game with 3D-COAT. Thanks for the hard work !

V3.5.19A CUDA DX64 & GL64

Win7 x64

Pen pressure not working at all. Works fine in photoshop.

Intuos tablet. Latest drivers.

Strange thing is I reverted back to an older version of 3dcoat to try and the pressure was no longer working either.

Again, no problem in photoshop, so could it be that 3dcoat doesn't recognise the newer drivers? Or some preferences issues.

It's been a couple month since I used 3dcoat so I'm not sure if things changed on either sides but I did not change anything on my part.

Any help welcome.

Andrew - in 19A on 64 Bit Cuda:

The Link to Photoshop (all Options) seems broken. I have reassigned the Path in Preferences - all correct.

When sending over stuff a Popup appears and asks for an an additional Path. See attached

Andrew - in 19A on 64 Bit Cuda:

Bake Voxel-Object to Ptex forgets to Smooth additional Subdivisions.

The Object which ends up in the Paint Room looks like a coarse LowPolyMesh.

It works as expected there. Probably there was some non-smooth edges. Try to use Auto smoothing in import dialog.

Does the path to PS contains German letters?

Try to select path from Edit->preferences->Ext editor

Pen pressure works fine here. V3.5-19A-(CUDA)(DX64)- Win 7 64 Bit - CINTIQ 21

I had problems with my Wacom drivers resetting my preferences after reboot or not starting up at all. So I contacted Wacom support. Here is what the told me to do:

The first thing we need is for you to complete a full reinstall as an Admin user.

Please follow the directions below:

Unplug the tablet from the computer.

Uninstall the driver from the PROGRAMS AND FEATURES (respectively ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS) section of the Control Panel

Reboot your system

Remove any remaining Wacom entries from device manager

Remove the following files from your system:

tablet.dat and pen_tablet.dat from all over the hard disk (search as administrator)

wintab*.* from WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (and on XP64 in SYSWOW64)

Reboot your system

Your tablet driver is now completely removed from the system.

To install the tablet again, plug in the tablet again and install the latest driver for your tablet (from http://www.wacom.eu/index2.asp?lang=en&pid=29&gm=3).

After the reinstall, please check if

A. the driver starts all the time

B. the preferences are stored / used after each restart

I followed the instructions and the problems mentioned above are now gone.

I tried to reproduce - no luck.

Is it in freeze tool with CTRL SHIFT I in surface voxel mode?

Yes it is. Objects always disappear also with the default Shader.

I just tried on 32Bit XP Cuda - here Inversion works.

Does the path to PS contains German letters?

Try to select path from Edit->preferences->Ext editor

My path does not contain Umlauts (ä, ö, ü ...) but the OS is German, yes.

This mistake happens both on Cuda 64 Win7 as also on Cuda XP32.

I have reassigned the Path to Photoshop on both Systems - that doesn't help.

Photoshop opens but it doesn't open the Temp-File (the 3DCoat-Settings folder is in its

default position).

Bringing Stuff to Photoshop and back was no problem in previous versions - something

must have changed.

Forum Feedback: Multiquote does not work with Firefox 4 here. It does nothing! I added the second quotation manually.

No Andrew - it happens not with imported stuff but with stuff created in the Voxel-Room. Actually this is already an old bug.

I have seen it in many versions of 3DC before - but in the recent versions I had no problems with Ptex.

What happens is that the Retopo-Mesh gets subdivided but without the typical Catmull Clark Smoothing.

It stays a hard edged model but has dense Subdivision.

Hmmm...

I just wanted to create a Video-Clip to demonstrate you and now I see it working correctly for the first time.

That is really odd. Yesterday and today I only used default Entries and did not paint Density or Curves...

Please check if file ...\Documents\3D-CoatV3\Temp\LayersZ.psd exists and is correct.
