Advanced Member wailingmonkey Posted February 6, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 6, 2008 Getting better, maggot. Perhaps adding some smaller detail for grime on all edges and a bit finer wear markings will add to the expectant larger scale of a mech. Could overlay finer detail pattern over the large camo brushstrokes as well. Also, maybe add some more displacement around the front window area (kinda framing it in) as there would probably be some welding or rivets or some sort of frame around it? Anyhow, keep going! Andrew Shpagin
2.05 SP1 (or 2.06?) is coming in 1-2 days, there you will be able to fill every material/subobject separately, so it will be a pleasure to paint such kind of objects. Member maggot Posted February 17, 2008 Author Member Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 Yeh this mech isn't gundam or battlemech, its more of the type you could see on the streets. Urban warfare mech, maybe 9 feet/3 metres tall at the most. The visor is just painted with transparent paint - transpaint hehheh, whatever it covers on both sides is transparent or on one side is a one-way window. I prefer having this one 'bugging' out with the visor.
