Member Vee Posted August 27, 2011 Member Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 It reminds me of Deep Canvas. This will be useful for 2d animator. It will make looks like you are animating on traditional way. Hope this will be release in the future.
Advanced Member moska Posted August 27, 2011 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 27, 2011 @vee i think in your video the painting strokes go over the mesh that shows at the begin/midle of the movie althogh they speak about painting on the air. the one i find looks different, who knows what cames out of it? thanks for your video cause a minute before i came here,i was at toonboom animate forum, following the 2d/3D integration (harmony9) thread were its sugested that the big companies get technology 10 years before public releases! Member Vee Posted August 28, 2011 Member Report Share Posted August 28, 2011 The narrator said that every strokes is being remembered where they should be placed, what color that was, how transparent it is and so on. So it must be a data floating on top of the model. Are you serious trying this thing?

A fascinating post. Many thanks. As an aside for those new to 3D Coat the increase (grow) brush will add volume (volume paint if you will) based on another voxel layer as will carve , sphere, curves, snake, spikes , muscle.toothpaste (burrow). The difference being that you can't color per voxel stroke only a color for voxel strokes per layer
