Member Palex Posted September 10, 2011 Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2011 Hello, The cloth simulator tool is amazing, but I'm having trouble using it to create certain objects. I'm trying to use it to create piece of cloth hanging from a belt. I created the mesh, but when I hit the sim start button, the 'cloth' wraps around my figure and it lags out horribly. Am I trying to do something behind the scope of the tool?

Member pavig Posted September 10, 2011 Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2011 Be careful how much you subdivide the cloth before simulation. You can stop simulation and subdivide further before applying which will smooth out the mesh.
Member Palex Posted September 10, 2011 Author Member Report Share Posted September 10, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I did as suggested and got the desired results. Now I should be able to make a cape using this method. Much appreciated!
philnolan3d
That's a good tip, I have used the Cloth sim a lot but never knew a way of pinning it.
