3DC exported Dmaps in LW.

Attached is my nodesetup in LW for Dmaps.

It is the standard setup I have used for several years taken from my Zbrush days.

Are 3DC users still using this setup in LW. I ask because I am not getting great results.

This could be because I am now using Ptex maps? I am not sure.

How should this work ?? As far as i know does lightwave not support ptex mapping. There is just UV mapping and serveral projections .. like camera, front, cubic, sperical, cylindrical, etc ..

Ptex maps in 3D Coat export out as standard UV maps, so it can work with any renderer.

As per AbnRanger's quote the Ptex/Dmap exports into LW OK. It is the image node (2nd from left) in my first post.

It should in theory work perfectly, but it does not.

Then again maybe I have missed something?

You might want to cross post on the Newtek Forums, perhaps someone can help you with the Nodes and such into LW. Unfortunately, I have only dabbled in Nodes, and still learning 3DC. However, as abnranger states, LW does not support Ptex, pretty certain of that. Perhaps you just pulling in a standard texture?
