Member you Posted January 17, 2012 Member Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 Hello, this is one thing I've always wanted since I first saw 3D Coat, I have been off 3d coat a while and i'm hoping this feature has been added lately. Basically, I'd like to merge/combine two volumes while keeping the volumes seperate, is this possible? Example:
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted January 17, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 You could hold the SHIFT key, drag one layer (volume) to merge with the other, then use the SPLIT tool to separate it as a separate volume. There is slider for "Split Border Width" at the top of the UI when the Split tool is active. You can adjust it so that there is a little overlap or no overlap. That's the closest thing I can think of, to accomplish what you're asking.
