Buddha's Zen

5 posts in this topic

Hi folks.

I have been learning and working on this animation for over a year and I apologize in advance for it's obvious flaws, but my next project is tugging me away. The Buddha and stone items were done in 3D Coat, the animation in C4D with editing in Premier Pro. Beccause it promotes a product, no Vimeo.

A little wind is missing, (on front foliage). More slight movement on four figures.

OK, I'm impressed Tony Nemo. The Buddha is awesome, well done animation.

Serious work here!

Watching it a few times already, I start thinking that a different angle of camera could make possible to have real four figures in front of buddha without much cost (green screen)

I like the whole concept, very much!

The 'green screen' was a garage door and took hours adjusting the mask to the wiggles of young girls. Had they been in front of the Buddha, they would have had their backs to the viewer through most of the show. You are too kind ("The Buddha is awsome"), this is where I would have liked some of the skill I have seen on this forum. "A little wind" would have enhanced things, especially with the tall grass. My original intention was to have the Buddha stand up but the robe defeated me and I would have needed to rotate the camera upward so as to show the Buddha's upper torso and zooming in at this point would have cruely revealed the inadequacies of my modeling.

My next project will be entirely modeled and painted in 3D Coat.
