Advanced Member micro26 Posted April 2, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 I would like to import models with existing textures ,pack or rearrange the uv islands and then coat could rearrange the textures to match the new uv layout. Of course layers should be merged?(i hope not) but i wouldnt mind that. ANother use of this is creating low poly stuff on the fly, making voxels-baking to lows-texture them -and rearranging uv islands so as to make your low poly modeling and texturing creation more fluid and add objects as u go. Thanks fotis,
Advanced Member johnnycore Posted April 2, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 You can import a model with textures, change the UV's and 3DCoat automatically bakes the textures to the new UV map on the fly.

Advanced Member jamie Posted April 4, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 Yep... this is one of my favourite features. Being able to tweak the UV's after painting is already done saves so much time. *Edit... You have to hit "Apply UV-set", editing the UV's will not automatically update the model.
