gradients are they possible

Yes, import a gradient as a material in the paint room or if you are polypainting a surface mode voxel the same.

In the E-panel deselect "ignore back faces, set border width to "0"

Set your color to white. That way only the color of the gradient material will be painted on the model.

Use the fill tool once you line up your material gradient...

Your done.

The shader that was chosen ignores the light direction from 3DCoat's light so could you see it's all gradient fill.

The gradient was a low res image so the quality is not that great but it was just to show you
