Member Teriander Posted February 4, 2016 Member Report Share Posted February 4, 2016 It has been over 9 months since I last saw a topic about setting up Light Map UVs in 3D Coat without having to go into a 3rd party App like Maya. Has anything changed? Is it possible yet to use 3D Coat to create a separate Light Map UV to use in a real-time engine such as Unreal? I am really surprised this is not possible yet since it is a very common issue.
Contributor ajz3d Posted February 5, 2016 Contributor Report Share Posted February 5, 2016 Unfortunately this still needs to be done outside of 3D-Coat. I'm looking forward to see this feature implemented too. I'd also like to see standard box and cylindrical unwrapping algorithms added to UV toolset. It would help with lightmaps a lot.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted February 11, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 11, 2016 ++++++++++1. We really need this in 3DC. As of now you have to go to Blender or another software to create efficient lightmaps.
