Lately I'm finding my 8 core Harpertown that's 6.5 years old with 64 gigs of ddr2 RAM just isn't cutting it in the render department. 

 

In fact maybe nothing I buy will. Even paying out $4000+ may not be enough for a rig that's really capable of doing big render scenes. The only way to keep up and to keep rendering costs down seems to be cloud rendering.

Tried most of them , some are good some are really really bad.

 

RR and Rebus were the ones i used the most.

For Houdini RevUp is nice too.
