In the code, they are often called &#8220;Deformers&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead of painting color or specular highlights, these node graphs typically work with the&nbsp;<strong>Displacement (Depth)<\/strong>&nbsp;channel or directly transform coordinates (UV or 3D space coordinates). They can create procedural reliefs, dents, bulges, or deform patterns before they are even rendered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-it-works\">How it works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Application:<\/strong>\u00a0Presets from this window are usually applied globally to a layer or object.
