These are default or custom-made images which affect both the depth of the Brush application and the shape of the \u201cbristles\u201d as well. <br \/>Brush Alphas can also be constructed from 3D .obj files, extracting the view-based height map from the model. <br \/>Use the search icon to find specific brushes by name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Color Channel, Palette, Swatches<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"267\" height=\"196\" src=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/documentation\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/ColorSwatches.png?wsr\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13632\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Custom Color Palettes:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/dokuwiki\/doku.php?id=general:interface_navigation:panels_menu#custom_color_palettes\"><\/a>Create your own custom color palettes via the \u201cWindows\/Popups\/Color Palette\u201d menu. A layer is not per object base but is a kind of scene layer. <br \/><strong>Paint and Sculpt Room Layers:<\/strong> Directly from the view in this panel, you can rename (by double-clicking its name), hide, lock, and delete listed here. <br \/><br \/><strong>Mask (NodeGraph mask): <\/strong> <br \/><strong>Materials (NodeGraph Materials)<\/strong>: <br \/><strong>Material History:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/dokuwiki\/doku.php?id=general:interface_navigation:panels_menu#material_history\"><\/a>History of materials used over layer. All materials that were applied to the layer are stored in history together with all settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multi-Resolution:<\/strong> Multiresolution sculpting was introduced. It works with layers, displacement, and PBR. Press Space and look at the bottom line, or use <em>Windows-&gt;Popups-&gt;Multiresolution<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Node Editor Window: <\/strong>NodeGraph Shader Editor.<br \/><strong>Node Inspector: <\/strong>NodeGraph Node Inspector.<br \/><strong>Object Inspector: <\/strong>NodeGraph Object Inspector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Painting Objects: <\/strong>show the Paint Objects list in a Layer system. You can rename, hide, lock and delete objects listed here. <br \/><strong>Polygroups (Retopo Objects)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/dokuwiki\/doku.php?id=general:interface_navigation:panels_menu#polygroups_retopo_objects\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/documentation\/manual\/workspaces-rooms\/retopology\/poly-groups\/\"><strong>Retopology Groups Panel,<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/a>where you can isolate all of the areas and parts of your model that need specific topology and texture. <br \/><strong>Poly Models:<\/strong> Add your own model&#8217;s library. <a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/dokuwiki\/doku.php?id=general:interface_navigation:panels_menu#retopo_models\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iOyzTdzg1n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Kitbashing for Retopo Work<\/a>: This video demonstrates a few examples of using the Retopo Models Panel in the Retopo room to quickly save, access, and use the mesh presets\/primitives for Retopology work. <br \/><strong>Presets:<\/strong> Display the tools presets panel. <br \/><strong>Primitive History:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/dokuwiki\/doku.php?id=general:interface_navigation:panels_menu#primitive_history\"><\/a>History Tree of used primitives for fast duplication of models keeping individual settings. <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AHjjthUmt8Q&amp;t\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Projector Tool<\/strong><\/a>: Like a projector, you may project any texture through the whole scene. It helps the user step down to lower Subdivision\/Resolution levels quickly and make interactive changes with this small new panel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/documentation\/manual\/workspaces-rooms\/paint\/paint-top-bar\/\">Depth, Color, and Glossiness Channels<\/a>:<\/strong> <br \/><strong>Color channel:<\/strong> For picking color values.<br \/><strong>Depth channel:<\/strong> [V] shortcut. For picking incorrect values for Depth, it happens when you pick with very tiny brush size. To prevent strange strong values try to keep brush size when picking depth &gt;0.2. <br \/>With Brush size 0.0001 it will pick insane numbers.<br \/><strong>Glossines channel:<\/strong> <br \/><strong>Quick Panel:<\/strong> Use \u201c~\u201d key to quick-access the semi-transparent panel containing parameters for all three channels in compact form (you can pin it anywhere on your working space). If there is an \u201cX\u201d over the sphere, it will be toggled off.<br \/><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/3dcoat.com\/documentation\/manual\/brush-components\/strokes\/\">Stroke Mode<\/a>:<\/strong> In the Stroke Mode Panel (E), you will find various stylus pressure modes, lasso modes, and curve modes. Each of these modes allows you to control your strokes either with pressure, using a curve as a path, lassos, and more.
