Substance Designer is a very nice programm.

If you dont have much experiance in 2d painting like me, it helps you a lot.

First of all.

Substance Painter works with tris only.

You have to triangulate your model in 3d coat while baking or in an external programm to match the model with the normalmap in Painter.

 

Second

Use the Substance Designer and Painter Preset for baking if you use DX normals in Painter.

If you use GL normals i would test the Blender Preset, but i dont have ever used the GL stuff in Painter or Designer.

The gun looks great but for me the trigger caught my eye as being up too high with the bend /groove as where your hand goes around the grip. Paint looks awesome on it I am looking in to getting SP soon. The gun looks heavy duty the rivets really sell it. Does it have a little red button on it somewhere like in the fith element movie...
